About Purpose Linked Consulting
Purpose Linked Consulting, a leadership and organization development consulting firm, was founded in Singapore in 1994, as HRx Renaissance Consortium, Inc. The firm later opened offices in the US and changed its name to reflect the firm's focus on leveraging Purpose and Passion in the workplace.
At Purpose Linked Consulting, the focus of our work is Purpose & Passion , as it applies to both the individual and the organization of which they are a part. Our experience has demonstrated that organizations with a well-defined purpose that seek to engage their employees in forging a connection between organizational objectives and individual purpose & passions realize a powerful competitive advantage. Marc Cugnon, CEO, Purpose Linked Consulting
Marc, a native of Belgium, is the CEO and co-founder of Purpose Linked Consulting. With over three decades of business experience, he consults to large, multinational firms as well as small, independent companies, foreign government organizations and international universities.

Prior to founding PLC, Marc enjoyed a twenty-seven career with three major pharmaceutical companies, focusing on human and animal health products. He has lived and worked in Belgium, the UK, France, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand. Marc spent twenty-one years with Merck, where his career was comprised of a number of significant positions, including Executive Director Marketing, Europe and Vice President, Asia-Pacific Region. As VP Asia/Pacific, Marc established 8 subsidiaries in the Asian region, including Taiwan, China, Singapore and Korea. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Merck-Hangzhou Pharmaceutical JV.
Marc is co-author of a new book to be released in 2009 entitled, The Purpose Linked Organization. The book focuses on PLC’s groundbreaking research on the importance of purpose and passion in creating a fulfilled and motivated workforce, and sustained competitive edge in business.
Marc has studied in Belgium, England and France. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from ULB, Belgium, a Management Studies degree from P&A, London and has completed advanced business courses at Harvard University and INSEAD, Fontainebleau. Marc is fluent in English, French and Dutch and serves as a Counselor to the Belgian Trade Office. His leisure accomplishments include licensing as a private pilot and professional horse training and breeding.

Alaina Love, President, Purpose Linked Consulting
Alaina Love is the President of Purpose Linked Consulting a leadership and organizational development consulting firm located in the US and Thailand. With twenty-six years of experience, Alaina consults to large, multinational Fortune 500 firms as well as small, independent companies and hospitals. Since the inception of PLC in 1994, she has provided a broad range of human resource and organization development services to clients, including:

Prior to founding PLC, Alaina spent over twelve years with Merck & Co., Inc., a multinational pharmaceutical firm. There, as Executive Director of Human Resources, she was responsible for HR services for the sales and marketing division, both domestically and internationally. Her client group included over 15,000 employees worldwide, generating US$12.3 billion in sales. Earlier in her career, Alaina was a research scientist for Merck in the field of immunology, where she worked to develop products for the treatment of diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus. She later worked in clinical research, with responsibility for monitoring international clinical trials for the anti-ulcer treatment known as Pepcid®.
Alaina is the co-author of the book, The Purpose Linked Organization, to be released in 2009. The book focuses on PLC’s groundbreaking research on the importance of purpose and passion in creating a fulfilled and motivated workforce, and sustained competitive edge in business. She has also the author of executive workshops on purpose and passion including, Leading with Purpose™ and Renaissance Reconnections™, which are conducted at the firm's retreat center in Virginia.
Alaina is a graduate of the University of Michigan Business School’s Change Leadership Program. She has completed advanced Human Resource studies at Rutgers University and medical studies at Tufts University School of Medicine and holds an undergraduate degree in medical technology from Monmouth University. Alaina has been awarded the distinction of Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Society of Human Resource Management. In addition to the US, Alaina has lived, worked and traveled extensively in Asia and has work experience in Europe, Canada and Latin America.
